The JCI Global Community

  JCI is a worldwide community of young active citizens ages 18-40 who share the belief that in order to create positive change, we must take collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us. Engaging in activities ranging from community development to international projects, members demonstrate their social responsibility and improve themselves through participation, leadership and action.

With over 5,000 Local Organizations in more than 100 countries and territories, JCI forms a vibrant international community of nearly 200,000 active citizens. All members belong to a JCI Local Organization where they focus on finding solutions to improve their local community. Local Organizations are affiliated to National Organizations where members coordinate activities on national and international scales. This structure links JCI members together to form a global grassroots movement creating global impact through local action. For more details visit

About JCI South Africa

  JCI South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that has been affiliated to Junior Chamber International since 1957. JCI South Africa has affiliated Local Organisations in the areas that include Cape Town, Joburg, Mogale City, Polokwane, Sandton, Soweto and Tshwane. This is where development of members and community projects take place. JCI South Africa is a growing organisation in the country, seeking more young people who want to start networks of young active citizens in their communities by establishing new JCI Local Organisation.

By participating in various projects, meetings, seminars and events around the globe, JCI members grow personally and professionally, developing the entrepreneurial and leadership skills needed to generate positive changes in their communities, their countries and the world. For more details
